The Chemise: Sexy & Comfortable for every woman every night

Chemises started out as protective undergarments in the Middle Ages, essentially. They were worn under dresses as long smocks, protecting the body from oils and sweat. Men and women alike wore chemises, typically as a one-piece. Chemises originated around the time of the Roman Empire and carried over into the Middle Ages as a popular choice for undergarments. Currently, people continue to wear a version the chemise, mostly as the modern T-shirt.

Today's chemises are made from a variety of materials for women. They come in all kinds of lengths. Some have fitted tops with long flowing skirts and others are short and flirty with matching panties. These loose fitting garments have lost their full sleeves in favor of thin straps and delicate styling puts the chemise at the top of the list for naughty lingerie.

Get your girlfriends together and go to Nordstrom! From March 5 - May 2 they're having a National Bra Fitting and if you have four or more in a party, you can have a bra fitting party with your girlfriends at Nordstroms.

I used to have gaps in my bra cups, thinking that I was a 36A. When I finally got a professional fitting, I discovered that I was instead a 32C. That's a big difference. And I can tell you it makes a bigger difference looking at me just in my bra as well as under clothes. With a 32C on, no more gaps. "The Perfect One" Bra & Spokesmodel

If I have to name one of my favorite people, then it would have to be Heidi Klum. From being a successful model, to host of Project Runway, to loving her husband, Seal, and children above all else, she's a woman who is comfortable in her own skin, Celebrating Her Inner Eve at every turn.


When I heard that Heidi Klum was launching Victoria's Secret's new The Perfect One Bra (image above), I had to find out more about it.

On The Perfect One website, Heidi tells us that the bra, "shapes, smooths, and supports" all in one, allowing for a seamless look under your clothes. With three types of foam, the bra "conforms to your body and fills the gaps between you and your body."

Axami continues to regularly launch new collections and we enjoy showing you the one for spring/summer 2009. Intenssimo consists of eight bra and panty sets, two chemise sets and one corset. Main colors are intensive as spring sunshine – warm orange, coral, violet. There are also a few designs of bridal lingerie – with innovative tulle straps, headbands and cuffs. Evie Gets Fitted!

Hello Lingeristas!

As Eve as told us, time and time again, it is so important to go in for a proper fitting. Try a local specialty boutique, or even Nordstrom. Trust me, you might be surprised.

For years, my "girls" have been growing. I went to The Big Pink a few times to get fit and I was a 36C consistently. However, the bras just didn't seem to fit right. They'd pucker in strange places and I had the lovely "under-arm fat" going on. It wasn't pretty but I though this was normal. But during fashion week in Las Vegas, Eve mentioned that I might be D-cup. Say what?? She said we needed to go to Nordstrom's and get me a proper fitting. So on Friday, we finally converged into the mega-mall and headed for the lingerie section at Nordstrom.

The first thing we did was head for the sales rack. So many beautiful brands to try on! Elle Macpherson, Chantelle, Wacoal, and more. I was in lingerie heaven. A wonderful sales-woman, Jenny, came by to see if we needed anything and proceeded to make the entire fitting process very comfortable. It's not easy for me to take off my top and go naked on the upper-half in front of strangers, let alone good friends. But she was fantastically professional. The real shocker was the sizing. I'm not a 36C. I'm a 34D! Once we figured that out, Jenny went out and found bras that I loved and had to have (though I only bought one, I'm on a budget after all). I bought a lovely Wacoal bra that is sexy and perfectly functional to wear every day. Eve said this bra made me look as though I'd lost 10 pounds, which made me feel even better about myself.

The best part of getting properly fit and trying on the right size was that I felt properly supported. With a shirt on, I could see my figure and it looked different. I felt a little sexier, a little more beautiful (and let's not discuss my husband's reaction). My inner-Eve was definitely on her way out!

Going Green this St. Patrick's Day has never been easier. Tired of wearing that same old boring shamrock shirt? Green Goblin

Ingredients:
  • 1 ounce Peach Schnapps

  • 1 ounce Vodka

  • 1 ounce Coconut Rum

  • 1 ounce Green Apple Schnapps

  • Sweet and Sour Mix

  • Ice

Add ice to a shaker. Pour in all ingredients. Shake. Pour into a cocktail glass. Add lime wedge.
